Miles and miles of empty road and he could feel her already, the scenery blurring by him. He pulled into the familiar driveway, snow covering every inch of land. She stood; hand on her hip, smirk painting her lips. He met her eyes hesitantly, feeling something different than all the previous times.

“I smelt you from miles away. It’s been a while hasn’t it?”

His gaze drops and he crosses the distance much too slowly. Her slender arms encircle his waist before he’s sure what he’s doing. He sighs a kiss against her temple and she groans, pulling him like a child into the house.

The door slams behind him and clothes are like a memory behind them. Her skin is colder than normal and it stuns him for a moment. She smiles slyly and shoves him onto the floor.

“I never promised you romance, Edward.”
