you don't have to have an account to download ot upload. although, i have one so i can keep up with the things i upload -- since i upload a lot -- and it lets you organize it into folders and also you can link to your files with a share key link for anyone to download as long as your files are public. personally, i love it. it's the best site i've found for uploading and downloading.
